Old Port Square Announces Old Port Holiday Market With Rosemont Artists Guild

Old Port Square, in collaboration with the Rosemont Artists Guild, will host the inaugural Old Port Holiday Market at 200 Middle Street on Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th. The two-day market will transform the Suite 202 retail space of 200 Middle Street into a festive community hub to shop and celebrate the season, featuring 30+ local artists and makers.

At the debut holiday market of Old Port Square, visitors will be invited to browse art and holiday wares by local artists for the very first time inside 200 Middle Street. Thoughtfully curated by the Rosemont Artists Guild, a selection of local vendors will be set up in the space, showcasing handcrafted goods, fine art, jewelry, and seasonal items for holiday gifting. Attendees will be invited to step inside the festive atmosphere to shop and meet local artists.

A four-acre site within Portland’s Old Port, Old Port Square is owned and managed by East Brown Cow. 200 Middle Street, previously known as One Canal Plaza, was recently reimagined into a premier retail destination featuring vitrine storefronts and an expansive lobby with a grand staircase. The Old Port Holiday Market will be the first time the space has been activated for the general public since undergoing renovations.

The Rosemont Artists Guild was established in 2012 and is a group of fine and craft artists who live, work, or play in the Rosemont neighborhood of Portland, Maine. The fine artists and crafters collective annually hosts holiday shows and member gatherings, highlighting members of the guild in their respective mediums – from pottery and ceramics to jewelry, textiles, stained glass, wood turning, and more.

“Our guild is passionate about connecting with the community through creativity, and Old Port Square offers an incredible opportunity to engage with our neighbors and visitors alike during the holiday season,” said Mia Waisman, member of the Rosemont Artists Guild and event coordinator for the Old Port Holiday Market. “We are excited to collaborate with Old Port Square for this inaugural event and provide our guild members with a new, centrally located venue to showcase their talent.”

The Old Port Holiday Market will be held indoors at Suite 202 in 200 Middle Street on Friday, December 12th from 4PM-9PM, and on Saturday, December 13th from 10AM-3PM.
