Old Port Square, Fête Market Announce Dates for 2026 Old Port Makers Market Season

March 3, 2026

Local artists and makers invited to apply for the 2026 Old Port Makers Market season

Old Port Square and Fête Market are pleased to announce the 2026 schedule for the Old Port Makers Market, following the success of the inaugural markets in 2025. This year’s markets will take place on June 20, July 4, September 5, and October 3, bringing a curated lineup of talented local artists and makers back into the heart of Portland’s Old Port.

Hosted by Fête Market, the open-air series will once again offer a vibrant gathering place where visitors can explore handcrafted goods, meet local creators, and experience the region’s thriving cultural scene. Each market features a curated mix of 30+ local makers and artists selling everything from ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, textiles and art to specialty goods. The event builds on the concept first introduced in the summer of 2025, when the collaboration launched its first Old Port Makers Market in the heart of the four-acre district.

“We’re thrilled to return to Old Port Square,” said Gabrielle Stratmann, co-leader of Fête Market. “Our mission has always been to build strong, connected creative communities and provide meaningful opportunities for artists and makers. These markets create a space where people can share their work, connect with audiences, and grow their businesses. To do so in the heart of downtown Portland is an amazing opportunity for our community of artists and makers.”

Fête Market hosts multiple markets across the state annually and brings together more than 100 local artists across its events. It builds inclusive spaces to empower a new generation of entrepreneurs.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Fête again for this year’s markets,” said Jacob Soley, Director of Development at East Brown Cow. “Their passion for supporting local artists and bringing people together aligns with our vision here at Old Port Square – to create a connected, community destination that offers meaningful ways to engage with the surrounding neighborhood. We received tremendous feedback last year and are excited to launch this new season.”

Located in the center of Portland’s historic Old Port, Old Port Square spans the block bordered by Middle, Union, Fore, and Exchange streets. It combines new construction with award-winning revitalized historic buildings, featuring retail, dining, offices, residences, and public gathering spaces. Owned and managed by East Brown Cow, Old Port Square has been driven by the team’s longstanding commitment to strengthen Portland’s urban fabric.

Applications are now open for artists and makers interested in participating in the 2026 Old Port Makers Market season. Vendors are selected through a carefully curated process that evaluates craftsmanship, branding, and presentation to ensure each market showcases a high-quality mix of creative talent.
